hi, sorry this may seem completely arbitrary but my nana who grew up in bermondsey lost her hearing through scarlet fever and i think was put in the bermondsey asylum for a short while . do you know by any chance who i could contact to look into the old records? kind regards, maggie o’neill.

The records are at the Royal School for Deaf Children, Margate (what the Bermomdsey Asylum is now called). They do not let the public access the records, unfortunately. I’ve been trying for the last four years.
